As community engagement is at the heart of all we do, our Weston Turville development, Farendon Fields, provides us with great opportunities to invest in the local area as part of our Community Pledge; a UK-wide initiative that sees bespoke programmes of activities created for our developments.

From showcasing regional talents within our very own showhomes, to partnering and sponsoring local sports clubs, to having a significant part to play in the primary school curriculum – let’s take a deep dive into the various ways in which we have kept our community support going.

Showhome of Support

Aylesbury has a range of incredible local businesses, none of which can be ignored. Our range of showhomes in Weston Turville showcase the small businesses, rising stars and local talent within the community. We’ve shone a spotlight on a range of local businesses such as Buckinghamshire Craft Guild, Just Biscuits, Holy Cow Home and The Vintage Shop.

Supporting sport clubs

Locally run sport clubs are an integral part of the Aylesbury area, with several of them dedicated to kids who are eager to exercise those bursts of energy out on the field. To ensure we assist in making sure the local kids are dressed to play the part, we chose to sponsor Aylesbury Rugby Football Club, supplying them with new team shirts. We can’t wait to expand Cala’s community support for local sports clubs.

Taking safety to schools

We value the importance of raising awareness of the dangers of construction sites to school children, which is why we have implemented our Stay Safe, Stay Away initiative, both to inform and educate local primary school pupils, in an interactive, creative and memorable way.

Local refurbishments

We understand that finding an area with high quality facilities is an important factor when searching for properties for sale. As part of our contributions to the community, we improved the existing village hall within the Western Turville Parish, renovated local playing fields and repaired leisure facilities in Aylesbury, such as refurbishing the local Scout Hut.

Keeping the community in mind

We have also made smaller gestures to show our support for the local area. We gifted a bench and a range of garden furniture for the residents of Shaftesbury House, a local care home. To keep our streets clean and litter-free, we partnered with the local Parish and other residents to arrange a Community Clean Up in Weston Turville, collecting a grand total of 25 bin bags in just under two hours.

The Community Pledge aims to bring measurable, meaningful benefit to neighbourhoods through investing in and enhancing the very essence of what brings a community together. We are excited to continue supporting initiatives across Aylesbury as we grow the community with our homes for sale in Weston Turnville at Farendon Fields. Our newbuild homes, also designed to foster a sense of community, allows you to become part of a new neighbourhood.
