To celebrate World Cocktail Day on Friday 13th May, we have teamed up with The Alchemist for an evening of creative cocktail making - led by one of their expert mixologists, and taking place in our newest Edinburgh showhome.

And here's the best bit...you can join in from the comfort of your own home, as we'll be streaming this event live via our social media channels.

Set in the Newington Residences' newly launched Clocktower Show Apartment - tune in for a cocktail lesson with a twist.  


Bringing together a selection of delicious cocktails from Edinburgh’s most exclusive new bar, join in live on the 13th May via Cala’s Facebook or Instagram to participate in a fun filled evening with a dash of theatrics, hosted by The Alchemist - yet all from the comfort of your current home.

So shake up the start of your weekend and celebrate World Cocktail Day in style with Cala.


Join in the cocktail making master class by following @calahomes on Instagram or Facebook in advance of the 13th May and then simply tune in to the live stream from 7pm on the 13th May – and make sure you our dedicated hashtag #CalaXTheAlchemist when sharing your creative cocktails with us.

Pencil it in the diary, spread the word and cause a stir; it's definitely a case of the more the merrier when it comes to a Cala live mixalong!

 

GET SET - HERE'S EVERYTHING YOU'LL NEED...
You'll find the ingredients for two delicious cocktails just below, which you can make live on Friday night along with our cocktail connoisseur.

✓ A Classic Daiquiri
✓ A Breakfast Martini

Then, as you sit back and sip your drinks, watch the expert showcase some of the theatrics for which they are renowned!

Not sure if a cocktail is your cup of tea? Not a problem - grab a cuppa or crack open a cold drink of your choice, and enjoy the theatrics of the show.

Classic Daiquiri
All you'll need for this classic cocktail is: Lime juice, lime, white rum, ice, a shaker, a strainer and a measure.

Plus sugar (or honey, agave etc), lukewarm water, a tablespoon and a bowl for the sugar syrup.

 

Breakfast Martini
Shaken not stirred in a Cala kitchen, you'll need: Marmalade, lemon juice, lemon, orange liqueur, gin, ice, a shaker, a strainer, a measure and a stemmed glass.

On the night, The Alchemist will also talk through a Mocktail option - a Refreshed Fruit Highball - with the ingredients also below.

To create a Refreshed Fruit Highball, you'll need: Summer or tropical berries, lime juice, ice, tonic or soda, a tablespoon, a measure and a highball glass.
