Our Chiltern team worked with CANVAS Spaces on the community skate park as part of our Merlin Gardens development in Benson village, to provide a focal point where families and friends can gather.
The opening included a display by pro-skaters Jason Cloete and Greg Thorpe, both from Oxford, who showed off the capabilities of the park with their impressive moves.
A special piece of artwork by illustrator and muralist REVES was also unveiled, depicting both skaters and the residential nature of the development. The London-based artist, originally from Brussels, started crafting visuals from a young age and at the age of 22, holds the title of painting the largest mural in Oxford, standing at four storeys tall.

“The fantastic artwork by REVES is an illustration of this, cementing the skate park as a modern, community-focused centre piece of the new development.”

The circuit-like nature of the design with three main sections means that the park can be used as separate areas when busy, or when quieter you can flow around the whole facility linking long lines together.
“It was great working alongside Cala Homes towards what we believe is a great skate park project and one that we would love to live nearby.”
