Cala Homes has acquired the land for a brand new development of 600 homes off Hayley Road in Lancing.

Following planning approval at the beginning of the year, Cala Homes has acquired the land for a brand new development of 600 homes off Hayley Road in Lancing.

The highly-anticipated scheme was developed in close collaboration with New Monks Farm Development Ltd and will deliver a mixed-use development which will also include a 28-hectare Country Park, land for a new primary school and an IKEA store. The result is a landscape-led scheme that transforms the land around the Brighton and Hove Albion training ground into an attractive collection of one and two bedroom apartments, and two to five bedroom homes. Thirty per cent of the properties have been allocated as affordable housing to meet local need, in a mix of rental and shared equity tenures.

Daniel Webber, Land Director at Cala Homes South Home Counties, comments: “After an extensive period of planning and close liaison with Lancing Parish Council, Adur District Council, the local community and New Monks Farm Developments Ltd, we’re delighted to have received planning permission to deliver 600 high quality brand new homes to Lancing. This scheme shows a continued investment by Cala into desirable and aspirational locations across Sussex, and complements our existing developments in nearby Angmering and Chichester.

“As well as new homes, we will deliver areas of public open space which will create a welcoming environment and an attractive place to live, together with widespread community benefits. We’re looking forward to beginning construction this summer.”

Ideal for commuters and families alike, Lancing train station is less than a mile from the site with trains to Brighton in just 20 minutes, and the development benefits from a number of well-regarded schools nearby, including Seaside Primary School and The Globe Primary School.

Living on the development will be a delight as the extensive country park will offer a very spacious and green environment for new residents with views of and access to the South Downs.
